Farewell, Sister Gerry!
Another
longtime member of Holy Angels family is leaving us this Summer of 2006.
Sister Gerry O'Laughlin, teacher and twice principal of Holy Angels School
is taking her leave. It was typical of Sister Gerry, and her wish, that
there not be an official "going away" celebration. Sister Gerry
mentioned two reasons: first, that she had a wonderful send off a few
years ago when she initially retired as principal, and second, that she
did not wish for her departure to conflict with our going away celebration
for Sister Mary Quinn.
Since there was not an event officially recognizing her leaving, we offer in modest tribute this collection of photos of Sister Gerry around the School and Parish in recent years. Sister Gerry is often not the central figure in these pictures, but perhaps that is as she might want it.
We hope she will return often to the Church and School families who love her. Thank you, Sister Gerry, for everything!
