From
time to time, our own maintenance expert, Mr. Richard Vonder
Muelen, has been on the scene to record goings on around Holy
Angels when most parishioners aren't there to observe and appreciate
them. Some months ago, Mr. Vonder Muelen shared some photos
with us which we apologize weren't posted promptly due to having
to convert them from prints to online images. With apologies
to all, here are belatedly several of those photos.
The first two
images are from last February. A lady from Greenwood, Lisa Brindley,
donated a houseful of furniture to help furnish the convent
for our beloved Daughters of Mary Mother of Mercy. Shown
in the photos are the Sisters inspecting and receiving the furniture,
along with several parishioners helping to move the furniture
in.
The second set
of photos shows work done in late spring, removing the old deck
from the back (West end) of the church to make room for the
new barn which provides safe storage for maintenance equipment
and supplies. Mike Branaugh's crew not only provided this important
demolition, but also trimmed trees and shrubs and removed limbs
and brush.
Many thanks
for the blessings of all these important contributions to our
parish community. We look forward to additional photos in the
months ahead!
