As part of our weeks of celebration of our Parish Feast, our revival committee arranged a spirit-filled 3 days of spiritual renewal under the leadership of revivalist and parish priest Rev. John Judie, from Immaculate Heart of Mary and Christ the King parishes, Louisville, Kentucky. (Father Judie's Biography Link) Father Judie began the revival by celebrating weekend masses on October 4th and 5th, then conducted evening services on Sunday night through Tuesday. Sunday's theme focused on our youths punctuated by ministry from the Cathedral Youth Choir. Monday featured musical ministry from St. Rita's Gospel Choir. The revival concluded on Tuesday night with our own Holy Angels Gospel Choir. each evening had a specific sub-theme, supported by scripture readings, pastoral reflections and inspirational messages from parishioners, and of course the spirited homilies, story telling, singing, and exhortations from Father Judie himself. The final evening featured a candlelight commissioning - sending forth the renewed participants to spread the light of Jesus to the world. A reception followed the final evening in the parish center.
