Christmas Midnight
Mass. Father Chester
Smith, filling in for our pastor Fr. Clarence Waldon,
elevates the infant during the singing of our traditional
"I AM!"
|
 With the
singing of the "Gloria", the lights of the nativity,
Christmas trees, and the church are illuminated, commemorating
the birth of Christ. |
 Father
Smith delivers a stirring homily on the feast of Christmas
and the season of celebration at hand. |
 The consecration:
Christ with us. |
 A view
of our Afrocentric nativity scene, with shepherds and
their flock. |

The advent
wreath has been transformed with poinsettias, a central
white candle, and the centerpiece - an infant figure
representing the newborn Christ child.
|

The
Feast of the Holy Family. The sunlight
of a winter's morning illuminates the altar
bedecked with poinsettias, Advent/Christmas
wreath, illuminated Christmas trees, advent
offering tree, and the changing nativity scene.
