At the 11:00 am service on the Sunday after Easter, with sunlight streaming through the stained glass windows, Holy Angels worshippers were treated to another School Children's mass. This liturgy was particularly festive, falling within the "Eastertide". Principal, Sr. Gerry O'Laughlin, along with Sr. Christine Nantaba, Mr. Michael Joseph, and Ms. Barbara Walters assisted. Music was provided by the Holy Angels School Children's Choir, always a very special gift. And school children served in other ministry roles such as commentator and readers, giving polished and forceful renditions of scripture.
Father Taylor continued his Easter 2006 theme of discovering how we are "church" in response to Christ's resurrection, this day's message including the story of "doubting Thomas". One special feature included sprinkling of the congregation with the blessed water used throughout the coming year. Also (not pictured), adult Eucharistic ministers were commissioned on this day.
While all are welcome to worship with us at any time, these School Children's Masses are especially rewarding, as school children, parents, and staff join Holy Angels congregation as one family in worship.
