DO I HAVE TO BE CATHOLIC?
No. However, to gain from our Catholic Christian environment, it is important that the family belong to a church community of your choice. Those without a church family are always welcome to come to Holy Angels Church.

WHAT IS EXPECTED OF A HOLY ANGELS SCHOOL PARENT?
It is expected that each parent will:
1. Attend the Catholic Faith classes. These are 7 introductory classes that all new school parents are expected to attend their first year.
2. Worship regularly with their child/ren at the church of their choice.
3. Attend all SPA meetings and Report Card Conferences.
4. Keep all finances current. (Monthly tuition is due the 10th of each month.)
5. Participate in the fund-raising activities.
6. Apply for Textbook Reimbursement and Free/Reduced Lunch.

WHAT DOES IT COST?
Last year it actually cost $5,673.00 to educate one student at Holy Angels Catholic School. This year parents are asked to pay $2950.00 for the first child. Fundraising and subsidy from Holy Angels Church – and the Archdiocese of Indianapolis - are needed to help finance the remaining cost not covered by tuition.

Registration fee: (Payable before school starts)
$75.00 per family by May 1st
$100.00 per family after May 1st

Tuition Fees: (Due monthly by the 10th of the month – Sept. thru May)
1 child $2,950.00 year ($328.00 month)
2 children $4,450.00 year ($494.00 month)
3 children $5,950.00 year ($661.00 month)
4 children $7,450.00 year ($828.00 month)
Family rate does not apply to pre-kindergarten.

Parishioner Rates: (Holy Angels church members)
1 child $2,655.00 year ($295.00 month)
2 children $4,005.00 year ($445.00 month)
3 children $5,355.00 year ($595.00 month)
4 children $6,705.00 year ($745.00 month)

PRE-KINDERGARTEN PROGRAM

Registration fee: $75.00 per family by May 1st
$100.00 per family after May 1st

Tuition cost: $115.00 weekly ($460.00 month)

CCDF vouchers accepted.

MANDATORY FUND-RAISING is $800.00 in sales or pay $320.00 (40% of $800.00). You may do a combination of fund-raising and payment. One half (1/2) of the fund-raising sales or fee must be paid/completed by Jan. 13th. The other half must be paid/completed by April 21st.

DO YOU HAVE UNIFORMS?
Yes. Uniforms can be purchased at ARTEX, Glenlake Plaza Shopping Center, 2445 East 65th Street, 317-255-8575. They can also be purchased through
French Toast (1-800-373-6248) www.frenchtoast.com. Beginning school year 2005-06, boys may wear either gray or black trousers. (School uniforms are optional for Pre-Kindergarten students.)

IS HOT LUNCH AND BREAKFAST AVAILABLE?
Yes. Lunch (including milk) is $2.00 daily. Free and reduced lunch applications are available. Breakfast (including milk) is $1.00 daily. Breakfast is served 7:15 AM – 7:45 AM.

WHEN DOES SCHOOL START?
Wednesday, August 17, 2005. Daily hours are 7:50 AM – 3:00 PM. Any early dismissals are at 12:30 PM and are noted on the school calendar.

IS SCHOOL AGE CHILD CARE
AVAILABLE FOR HOLY ANGELS STUDENTS?

Yes. We offer an on-site program beginning at 6:00 AM and continuing after school until 6:00 PM. Weekly charge is $35 per child for AM/PM ($3.00 daily for AM only --- $5.00 daily for PM only)

WHAT MAKES HOLY ANGELS UNIQUE?
We believe in growth toward excellence in our academic program and have high expectations for our students. We study and celebrate our African American heritage, and we study and celebrate our Living Faith.

WHEN CAN I REGISTER?
Official registration for school year 2005-2006 begins Monday, April 4, 2005. A birth certificate, health record, report card, and registration fee are expected at this time. New family orientation is held in August.

IS THERE A FINANCIAL AID PROGRAM?
Yes. The Catholic Church provides tuition assistance for families. Applications can be obtained at registration time through the principal. Grants are based on a sliding scale. A tax return form plus a current check stub must be submitted.

CHOICE CHARITABLE TRUST has offered to pay up to $1,000,00 of a child’s tuition (tuition as stated in this brochure) provided the family:
qualifies for free or reduced lunch
(and)
lives in Marion County.

If a family receives a grant from the Choice Charitable Trust, the tuition rates for 2005-2006 are as follows:
1 child $1,950.00 year ($217.00 month)
2 children $2,450.00 year ($272.00 month)
3 children $2,975.00 year ($331.00 month)
4 children $3,725.00 year ($414.00 month)
