Blessings from
Many Ministries

The three nights of Revival 2002 included participation by a number of local clergy as well as by many parishioners. Pictured here are Lysa Tender, Rev. Bruce Knox, Revivalist Rev. Giles Conwill, and Lory Tender. Not pictured, participating priests included our own pastor, Rev. Clarence Waldon and Rev. Joe Folzenlogen. Rev. Charles Smith and Rev. Chester Smith also showed support by dropping by as attendees. While impossible to list all who helped, among many other contributors from Holy Angels were our ushers led by Mr. Ted Davis, and our parish secretary, Jasmin Pettiford who created the nightly programs.

Rev. Giles Conwill, Ph.D., a professor of history at Morehouse College in Atlanta, was the revivalist for Holy Angels Church Revival 2002. The three-day revival was held Friday, October 18, thru Sunday, October 20.

Father Conwill is credited with orchestrating the first archdiocesan-wide Black Catholic revivals held across the country in Baltimore, Maryland, Washington, D.C., Little Rock, Arkansas, and Selma, Alabama.

Throughout the three nights of Revival 2002, Father Conwill inspired, uplifted, and entertained the congregation with themes about "Angels", "God's own people", and "Pass me not".
