Holy Angels Catholic Church

Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Sunday, 2003

The altar at Holy Angels is decorated for the Sunday liturgy on January 19, the day on which our congregation remembers the contributions of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. to non-violence, peace, and racial equality. The kente altar cloth, portrait of Dr. King, red, black and green accents, and poinsettias complement the occasion. The readings and homily weave the liturgical theme for the day with the special message of the King Holiday. Musical selections included "If I Can Help Somebody" and "Lift Every Voice and Sing".
