Christmas
~ Epiphany Party 2007-2008
Our
2007 Parish Christmas Party truly became a "movable feast"!
Inclement weather canceled a mid-December date for the fellowship
and festivities. Then the Feast of the Holy Family had conflicts.
So in true Holy Angels fashion our dedicated committee decided
to have the Parish Christmas Party on the Feast of the Epiphany,
January 6, 2008. Actually it was all quite correct liturgically,
as the Epiphany (sometimes called "little Christmas")
is the feast of the Wise Men or Three Kings, and is celebrated
as a major feast - in some cultures reportedly eclipsing the celebration
of Christmas Day.
In any case, the
celebration was festive and well attended as is evidenced by the
photographs below. We're indebted to Eugene Hawkins for his sharp
eye and great camera work for capturing the food, fun, and frolics
of the late Christmas season. Thanks for the photographs, Gene!
And special thanks to the entire committee who made this a wonderful
celebration of the Holy Angels Family and the season.
