St. Mary of the Woods College - Sisters of Providence
Community Day 2009 ~ Choir Appearance

      For the second year, Holy Angels Gospel Choir was delighted to be invited to minister at the annual Community Day at St. Mary of the Woods. As in 2008, many of the choir members along with a good number of parishioners traveled to the Terre Haute area by bus after the 11:00 o'clock mass on Sunday, June 14. As in 2008, a bit of wet weather was in the area but unlike the previous year's strong thunderstorms, only light drizzle dampened the campus during our visit.
        Some members found time to view the beautiful grounds and some of the building interiors. Several of the points of interest on the historic grounds of the college and Sisters of Providence mother house are captured below, along with images of the choir's ministry. And as always choir members visited with Sisters of Providence including our long time former Pastoral Associate, Sister Mary Quinn. The choir was again humbled and honored by a very warm reception from the sizable crowd in attendance. The Sisters of Providence presented the choir with a lovely framed artwork (left) including images from the interior of the Church of the Immaculate Conception.
