Held
at St.
Monica's Catholic Church, this special gathering
of Indianapolis
West Deanery parishes who lost pastors or assistant
pastors in 2005 was a moving and joyful occasion. Music ministry
was provided by choirs of each of the three named parishes. Representatives
of each parish read scripture and gave testimony regarding their
deceased priests. Monsignor Paul Koetter presided over the occasion
which was also attended by a contingent of area priests as well
as religious and laity of other parishes.Photos
below capture some of the event. Vince Harrington of Holy Angels
(not pictured) gave the scriptural reading for Father Waldon's remembrance
and Jerry Monette gave words of testimony. A reception followed
in St. Monica's Emmaeus parish hall. Thanks to the West Deanery
who sponsored the event, to St. Monica's who hosted so graciously,
and to all who participated.
