     The priest then receives Holy Communion, the body and blood of Christ, and administers it to the Eucharistic ministers and other lay ministers on the altar. The congregation remains kneeling (or if not possible, sitting respectfully) until the priest leaves the altar to distribute communion. The ushers invite each row of worshippers to come forward to receive.
