Easter
Sunday concluded our Lenten anticipation and reprised the
joy of Saturday evening's Easter Vigil celebration. As on
the evening before, the celebration began with the singing
and recitation of the Exsultet, announcing the risen Christ
and our salvation. Incense at the pulpit and at the altar
marked this as a special worship. In addition to the Easter
readings, Father Taylor continued his theme of focusing
on lesser figures of the Holy Week scriptures, this time
on the often-maligned Mary Magdalene and her significant
role as a first evangelizer in the early church. The baptismal
font had already been blessed on Holy Saturday night, but
the congregation was again invited to renew baptismal vows
and was then sprinkled with the baptismal waters. Flowers
and joyous music filled the celebration which concluded
with the Eucharist.

am service and photographs may be added if available at
a later date.
