Indiana
Black Expo Summer Celebration is among the oldest, largest, and
most successful exposition of African American - centered culture,
business, health, and community issues in the nation. This year
as in many years past, the Archdiocese of Indianapolis had a major
presence at the Summer Celebration by way of a large exhibit,
featuring ministries from many parishes. This year's impressive
booth included Father Kenneth Taylor, longtime parish friends
Br. Roy Smith and Sister Demetria Smith, as well as Holy Angels
parishioners and representatives of clergy and laity from around
the Archdiocese. This commitment to African American and African
Catholics also extends to the greater faith community in Indianapolis,
giving rise to information and evangelization at this singular,
community event.
Below
are a few photos of the Archdiocesan booth with members of Holy
Angels' family and others staffing this celebration of Black Catholic
culture. Also included are images of the larger Expo celebration
with exhibits, food, and family fun. |
