Christmas
2008
On
the 4th Sunday of Advent, Holy Angels Parish Family gathered for
our Christmas Party anticipating the birth of the Christ Child.
The celebration
began with a concert from Holy Angels choir; it was held in the
Church and set an appropriately spiritual and festive mood for
the coming parish party. Among the high points were a rare opening
selection of the "Our Father" from the choir loft, along
with liturgical dance, special instrumental and vocal solos and
duets, and selections from the newly-formed "Chancellor's
Choir".
The Christmas
Party committee did a fantastic job of assembling the feast and
program for our gathering. Delicious food filled long tables down
the center of Waldon Hall. Our pastor, our choir director, and
a wide representation of parishioners and parish leaders of all
ages filled the hall and overflowed into the Parish Center. A
special guest was longtime Holy Angels Parish member and former
Pastoral Associate, Sister Mary Quinn. The party was also the
occasion for the dedication of the Sister Mary Quinn Resource
Center, located in the South end of the Parish Center and pictured
at the bottom right of this article. It was a fitting and fun
way to start our Christmas season.
