On Thursday evening, August 24, 2006, a broad cross section of Holy Angels leadership and other interested parishioners met to enlist volunteers to lead the forthcoming Capital Campaign. The full title of the initiative is Legacy for Our Mission: For our Children and the Future. A representative of the consulting firm for this campaign, RSI Church Stewardship Group, along with our pastor, Father Kenneth Taylor, co-led the meeting. The purpose of this campaign is to fund both Archdiocesan and Parish ministries through a program of giving over the next 3 years.
        As pointed out by Father Taylor, Holy Angels is in an excellent position to enter into this campaign. Over the past year, we have participated in programs like New Beginnings, Growing Stewards, and most recently Appreciative Inquiry, to discern and develop our passions for ministry at Holy Angels. Father Taylor noted that he sees our good works in these initiatives coming together through Legacy for Our Mission. Funds collected through individual parishes will be shared between Archdiocesan and parish-developed ministry needs.
        Attendees signed up for many of the leadership responsibilities for this program. There is a rather short time line from these initial meetings until the commitment phase of the campaign. More information will be forthcoming in the weeks ahead.
