St. Mary of the Woods College - Sisters of Providence
Community Day 2010 ~ Choir Appearance

      In recent years, it has become a tradition for Holy Angels Gospel Choir to travel West to Terre Haute on a Sunday in June. The Sisters of Providence have honored Holy Angels Choir with repeated invitations to their Community Day celebration. Community Day is a festival on the beautiful and historic grounds of St. Mary of the Words College, welcoming the people of the Terre Haute area to a variety of activities. We were invited to be one of the musical groups ministering in the majestic Church of the Immaculate Conception, the main church of St. Mary of the Woods College and of the Sisters' provincial home. The church is also the repository for the remains of St. Mother Theodore Guerin. After a light lunch provided by our hosts, the choir presented a short program of assorted sacred music. The audience was most appreciative of the choir's ministry, and we had the added blessing of visiting with various members of the Sisters and local community, as well as our own beloved Sr. Mary Quinn.
