Father's Day 2009
Elites' Strawberry Festival

        Father's Day, June 21, was an exciting and spirit filled occasion at Holy Angels. The women of Holy Angels Choir along with a good number of additional ladies of the parish joined to make a superb women's chorus for Fathers' Day. In addition, most of the lay ministers' positions were filled with women of the parish, and some of our younger ladies recited poems to honor fathers and distributed special gifts to all fathers present. Our pastor and celebrant, Father Taylor, our intrepid choir director and percussion musicians, and members of the ushers were among the few men who led the celebration with the ladies of Holy Angels on this special day. As can be seen in the photos below (11:00 am mass), the celebration was especially spirited.
         After the Fathers Day Sunday masses, our Elites hosted a Strawberry Festival on the first Sunday of Summer 2009. Among the many deflectable strawberry confections, the Elites offered the traditional combination of strawberries, cake, ice cream, and whipped cream. Parishioners gathered to carry out or dine in for the transition from worship to other activities in celebration of Sunday and Father's Day.
