Lent
2008
Although
not strictly a part of worship, Holy Angels' annual, famous, fabulous,
Lenten fish fry has become a fixture at our parish. Under the
leadership of Adelaide Long and a team of dedicated parishioners,
each year hundreds of portions of assorted fish entrees and side
dishes are served to hungry parishioners and visitors. Another
group of parish ladies provides sweet desserts and our youths
pour lemonade and iced tea. The fish fry is an appropriate companion
to the Friday night mass and way of the cross for those who attend
those liturgies. For all, it provides appropriate Lenten food
and a Christian fellowship at dinner time, while bringing in important
funds for our parish. Below are images from the opening night
of this year's fish fry evenings. Above are links to Ash Wednesday
and Small Group activities.
