Prepare Ye The Way of the Lord! It's the season to prepare for the coming of the Savior - the Christ. December 25 will arrive, but will we be prepared? Amid the shopping, decorating, parties, baking, and travel, have we made ourselves ready spiritually?
          Rituals help us to prepare. Woven into the fabric of our Sunday worship are special practices, blessing of the Advent wreath, lighting of candles to mark each Sunday before Christmas. Also our children decorate the "Jessie Tree" with ornaments depicting rich symbols of the lineage of Jesus. The right of reconciliation, individual confession, and acts of penance are other good ways that each of us can get ready for the celebration of God becoming man.
