Any
time of the year at Holy Angels - there's much going on!
The weeks of preparation for Christmas - the season of
Advent - is no exception. Photos here from the second
Sunday of Advent, 2008, give us a good example of parish
life with "the angels". The
large advent wreath dominates the space in front of the
altar as the hymn "Oh Come, Oh Come, Emmanuel"
is sung and candles lighted on succeeding Sundays. The
parish participated in a special city food drive with
contributions of canned and dry foods. The Jesse tree
has been added in recent years as our children bring forth
symbolic ornaments depicting biblical history to the birth
of Jesus. After each mass, the Junior Daughters of the
Knights of St. Peter Claver sold yummy baked goods and
other gift articles in the Parish Center.
